Actually, scent memory is much stronger than visual/auditory memory. Smells can easily transport us back to specific times and places. That’s why the smell of an absent boyfriend/girlfriend can be so comforting, that’s why people associate home with smells of cooking or baking. Stuff like that. Its actually very believable.
